Amanda Cannon teaches Hatha yoga and restorative yoga to assist mid-life to senior individuals restore, maintain, and excel in daily activities and fitness. She is a fitness enthusiast who has actively practiced yoga, for wellness, and therapeutic stretching for injury-prevention since 2004. Amanda has trained in other yoga styles, including Iyengar, Power Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Viniyoga, and she has practiced Pilates for many years. Since she began teaching in 2011, she has studied and/or trained in many ancient and new world wisdom traditions embracing mindfulness, meditation, energy work, and Ayurveda. These mind/body/spirit practices greatly influence the yoga she teaches. She offers a wide range of yoga, including classes uniquely designed for stretching and core work for athletic performance, stress reduction, and working with thoughts. Amanda is registered with Yoga Alliance and teaches yoga and mindfulness to under-served populations. She also teaches in her home and in a variety of other non-profit and corporate venues. Most recently, Amanda studied at Kripalu under Judith Lasater and became registered as a restorative yoga teacher with restorativeyogateachers.com.
